The Factory Fit catalog is specific to General Motors vehicles. All Factory Fit harnesses are built according to the latest revision of the original GM engineering blueprints, and will be a direct plug and play replacement for the original wiring used in the vehicle. Factory Fit harnesses are best suited for builds where the customer values originality, or has no significant plans to modify the vehicle.

Factory Fit parts are compatible with stock wiring without modification, meaning new American Autowire harnesses can be installed in coordination with original wiring. Most vehicles have 4 major harnesses; the engine, front light, dash (which contains the fuse panel) and rear body. Accessory harnesses such as power windows or air conditioning are typically separate part numbers that can also be purchased individually if needed. If your project requires more available circuits that would be found in a stock-replacement harness, we recommend either a Classic Update kit or universal wiring system to best meet your needs.
